As a home plan drafting service in Portland, Oregon, I had the privilege of designing the Lee Home Addition in the spring of 2012. After submitting the plans to the Bureau of Development Services (BDS) in May of the same year, they were approved for construction.
Collaborating closely with the project owner’s contractor, I expedited the building permit process to meet the client’s schedule. I created all the necessary drafting sheets, including a Site Plan, Floor Plan, Exterior Elevations, Foundation Plan, Framing Plan, Sections, and Details.
To ensure the safety of the home addition, I utilized the prescriptive lateral bracing method per 2008 O.R.S.C. to meet the seismic and wind speed lateral bracing requirements.
