Hello and welcome to my “About Us” page! My name is Luis F. Miramontes, and I am a floor plan drafting service expert with many years of experience in the industry.
A floor plan is the foundation of any plan set. As a rule of thumb, once the floor plan is generated, the remaining architectural sheets can be produced. Without a floor plan, no other drawing sheets can be produced accurately; they can only be approximated. In other words, the floor plan serves as the origin of any building plan set.
Since my teenage years, I have had a passion for residential drafting services, with a particular focus on drafting floor plans for residential architectural projects. Providing this service has always been my ultimate goal. In pursuit of this dream, I worked in the house framing industry to finance my education. I attended several community colleges in the Phoenix Metro area while concurrently pursuing my degree at Arizona State University. I embarked on my career in the early 2000s and have since been involved in a wide range of residential projects. These include small-scale designs such as home additions and renovations, as well as ADUs and townhomes. My work has primarily been concentrated in the states of Oregon, California, and Washington although I have offered also my services in the states of Arizona, Utah, Maryland, Virginia and Hawaii.
Throughout my career, I have honed my skills in various CAD software, including AutoCAD, Chief Architect, SolidWorks, and Revit. I am highly proficient in 2D and 3D drafting, detailing, and modeling, and I am able to create highly accurate and detailed floor plans as part of a plan set for securing residential building permits.
I pride myself on my attention to detail and my ability to communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, real estate agents, and homeowners. I am dedicated to delivering high-quality work that meets the needs and expectations of my clients. I was born in the state of Sonora in Mexico but grew up in the Phoenix Metro area. I relocated to Portland, Oregon in 2008, and today, I lead a mobile professional lifestyle. I offer my drafting services remotely as I work from various locations.

I am an architectural drafter with a diverse background in the construction industry. Before relocating to Portland, Oregon, my career began with hands-on experience as a home framer and a commercial construction worker specializing as a form setter. I then transitioned to the wall paneling industry, where I focused on framing homes using CAD software. While working in the industry, I majored in residential architecture at Arizona State University and took classes at several community colleges in the Phoenix Metro Area, which gave me a solid foundation in design and permitting processes. Now, my work revolves around offering online CAD drafting services, enabling me to deliver high-quality building plans remotely. I’m committed to ensuring that my projects meet both aesthetic and permitting standards.
